He is a superb Archer but there lies his biggest weakness he can easily be killed in a massive war if you read Sun Tzu's Art of War certain formations with Infantry can kill Archer even as gifted as him remember the Bow is useless in close combat because Tigre has no chance of beating any of the Vanadis in close combat he would be massacred by any of them, and anyone that can close the distance, and there are ways to bypass his ability to strike from afar.
Sun Tzu doesn't consider the archer's personal record itself and if you may know that Tigre can even fight in close quarter combat. You do remember how Tigre, Rurick and Gerard manage to repel around twenty infantries in a room on Nice Royal Palace and Tigre can defeat them effortlessly. Sun Tzu will predict they will be killed but because of Tigre's fitting for survival they can repel Celpet and the others effortlessly.
He is perfect on every combat except when he is totally outnumbered, do note that he even manage to subdue three stablemen single-handedly without inflicting damage on him. His defense are close to perfect and if he shot the third arrow in the close range on Dinant, Elen will be dead for sure.
Just remember that Sun Tzu's Art of War doesn't take Tigre's personal record into account as it was just as he want for the battlefield while on the battlefield itself situations may varies and people's record are also varies and that's where Sun Tzu doesn't put soldier's record into account for the Art of War.
I want to know if he is so strong can he defeat the Vanadis in close combat with a Sword because I see him as a gifted Archer not a close combat specialist like the Vanadis.
I will use this but if he is challenged to a Duel to someone as gifted as the Vanadis in close combat but without the use of his Bow but using a Sword can he come out on top I don't think so.
He is a gifted archer something of a prodigy but he is no Swordsman so in close combat with someone at very close range you can't draw your Bow to attack the person not when someone is at arm's length to kill you because I read all his scenes in the Light Novels he still has space to draw his Bow but if you close the distance to a point where you can't draw your Bow then a Archer is helpless.
I like Archers myself but in close combat they are no match to Swordsmen like Ellen, and others who are gifted.
You do realize how he was be able to defeat Elen in a surprise attack do you? If you look at fanservices during interlude on Vorn-Thenardier Campaign. Elen could be killed if Tigre has dagger on his waist and he can stab Elen's chest after she woke him up with bloodlust.
I just want to know who is a better close combat fighter Ellen or Tigre because I will favor Ellen because I am biased towards Swordsman types than a Archer but in a real fight against Ellen Tigre would get killed she is very killed in Swords, and Ludmilla is even worse of a matchup for him because she uses a Spear a dangerous weapon in close combat with a very long reach.
Tigre is a great character in the story but the Vanadis surpass him in close combat I give his superiority in long range combat, and sniping is very dangerous but close the distance between a Archer, and get really close, and the Archer is done for.
I found few of the changes that you made to be incorrect - so instead of each doing & undoing each others edits, I believe it will be advantageous for both of us to discuss the things first before making any further changes.
Greast (in Battle of Orange Fields) - It has been mentioned in the LNs that Marquis Greast did not participate in the battle nor did he command the army, but left the battlefield. For support, I'd use refer from the LN. Please refer to Volume 3 Chapter 2 - Ganelon's Plan (halfway in the chapter). Page 82 of 320 in the pdf I have (this might be different depending on the source from where you downloaded. FYI I downloaded from Baka-Tsuki).
“I have a message for you from Marquis Greast. [I leave command to you. I shall head down to the riverside. All victory and glory are yours].” --- Getting scared right before the battle? The General interpreted the message in that manner. Still, it could not be helped. He could not allow the enemy to retreat; they would fall here. Marquis Greast had one hundred troops as a guard and left the General to attack Tigre's army.

Bouroullec cannot be the the commander of Lutece Knights - the Commander for Lutece Knights is Scheie. Also both the armies (i.e Earl Bouroullec & Scheie are cooperated with each other but did not form any alliance so I do not think that there can be a Supreme Commander). They became part of Alliance Army - after joining together to form Moonlight Knights Army.
Also naming anyone as supreme commander (Bouroullec in this case) will be termed as speculation and cannot be confirmed. That can lead to unnecessary debates. So I'd like to avoid any and all speculations and prevent any friction that may eventually happen between different users.
PS: Thank you for correcting the other mistakes, spellings, etc.
