Roland is one of the main protagonists of Madan no Ou to Michelia series. Similar to his original counterpart, Roland is the champion/hero of Brune and the leader of the Navarre Knights whose Durandal was bestowed by King Faron for his heroic deeds.

Just like his original counterpart, Roland is a hero who values justice and loyalty.
Roland seems to not have good communication or negotiation skill. As if realizing that, he always bring Olivier to back him up when there is need for negotiation.

- Similar with Mila in this continuity, this version of Roland doesn't seems yielding antagonistic view against Tigre.
- Roland can't swim, a fact not even King Faron knows about.
- The reason he manage to hide it for so long is because he never had chance to fight on water in Brune's landscape. Even when crossing river he is usually riding on his horse.
- The only people who knows about this secret is his best friend Olivier-who tried futilely to teach Roland how to swim, and Guinevere, who saved Roland from sinking in the sea.
